The Convention Centre of Lyon (www.ccc-lyon.com) is part of the Cité internationale which offers a unique and elegant silhouette between the Rhône and the Parc de la Tête d'Or. Luminous, transparent and functional; this city in a city, with its buildings following the curve of the river, offers a completely new concept of urban development serving both the environment and economic growth.
The Cité internationale is the tangible result of one of Lyon's most ambitious projects where the quality of the architecture and, above all, the public spaces are an essential part of it. The choice of one of the greatest contemporary architects, Renzo Piano, and landscapers, Michel Corajoud, to realise this site is an undeniable measure of its quality.
Some 2, 3 or 4 star hotels and many restaurants are located nearby or at walking distance. The city centre and the Part-Dieu station can very easily and rapidly be reached by public transportation.
